100 new Mental Health First Aiders Trained

On World Mental Health Day in October, We set ourselves the target to train a further 100 Mental Health First Aiders in addition to the 42 in the business. We’re pleased to have exceeded our target with over 100 MHFA trained within six months.

At C&C, we want every colleague to feel supported, and always have someone they can turn to if they need to talk, which is why Mental Health First Aiders are such an important part of the business.

What are Mental Health First Aiders?

Mental health first aiders in the workplace are the go-to person if anyone is experiencing some form of mental health issue. They have completed a two-day training course to learn how to assist employees if they have concerns over their mental wellbeing or are in a mental health crisis. They may also support people who have a history of mental illness or longer-term challenges.

Our fantastic colleague Emily took part in the Mental Health First Aider training earlier this year and felt so inspired that she wrote a song recognising the importance of talking about our mental health, and encouraging people to get talking. Have a listen!
