Che Lingo to perform

exclusive gig

Che Lingo, one of South London’s most credible musical names, is set to perform an exclusive one-off performance at Birmingham’s Boho Beer Garden, as part of Magners Irish Cider’s new summer music series, Secret Orchard.

With his critically acclaimed, award-nominated album, ‘The Worst Generation’ (released on Idris Elba’s 7Wallace Label), the artist boasts a litany of tracks featured in leading films and games such as FIFA 22 and NBA2K, TopBoy and ‘The Fallout’ movie, as well as gracing the Jujutsu Kaisen anime soundtrack a whopping three times.

Born in Southwest London during the conception of UK rap and grime, Che started making music in local youth clubs and can already count the likes of Ghetts, Stormzy and Dave amongst his fans while also drawing praise from The Guardian, NME, Complex and The Independent.

Inspired by love, society, his own demons and much more as he grows and learns, the introspective, anime-loving wordsmith never spares a word or beat, skilfully filling his tracks with relatable lyrics and emotions, boasting a range of hip hop and grime influences. Che’s anticipated second album is set to be released early in 2023.

Magners fans can secure free tickets for the exclusive event at Boho Beer Garden on 30 July, for an evening of music and ice-cold cider.

Attendees will also be treated to performances from supporting artists, a secret serves bar plus an opportunity to win free prizes, games and much more.

Secret Orchard is a nod to Magners’ renowned Irish orchard, showcasing an alluring bill of secret events around the UK. The series culminates with a secret show for competition winners in Clonmel, the home of Magners, on 9 September.

Made from a unique fresh juice recipe using 17 varieties of sweet, sharp and bitter apples picked from Magners’ own orchards, the refreshing cider is matured in the dark for up to 18 months for a distinctive, rounded taste and is fermented with native yeasts from the original wooden vats.
